The Today Show has been forced to play advertisements and TV show reruns for over an hour after the breakfast show suffered an ‘engineering issue’.
The program, which is normally hosted by Ally Langdon and , suffered a technical glitch mid-show on Monday morning.
‘We had an engineering issue at our North Sydney studios which has now been resolved,’ a statement from the Nine Network said.
The Today Show was pulled off the air after playing for one minute without sound and replaced with a prerecorded episode of Talking Honey.
The glitch hit as the Nine Network was supposed to be celebrating one of its biggest ratings morning of the year after The Block finale on Sunday night.

Today Extra host David Campbell and former 9News foreign correspondent Amelia Adams have been filling in for the Langdon and Stefanovic.
As the show returned to air, Campbell and Adams joked that the glitch had been an act of sabotage masterminded by the regular hosts.
‘We are here doing you guy as favour and then you pulled the plug on us.
So much so that we went to Nine Honey,’ Adams quipped.
‘Even though we look quite calm there is a lot of people behind the scenes at Nine who have been very frantic trying to get us back on air so we want to thank them for their diligence getting us back on air,’ Campbell added.
Viewers were quick to vent their frustration on social media.

Adams, 39, has just returned to Sydney after four years as Nine’s Senior International Correspondent in Europe and North America.
The journalist received a warm welcome from Stefanovic on Thursday, who described the Nine Veteran as ‘one of Australia’s all-time great correspondents’.
